Robert Griest is an associate in King & Spalding’s Atlanta office and is a member of the firm’s Trial and Global Disputes group. Robert’s practice focuses on representing businesses in complex commercial litigation, including class actions, insurance recovery litigation, M&A litigation, and other business disputes.
Robert has experience defending companies in high-stakes consumer class actions, including multidistrict litigation (MDL) matters, with an emphasis on large data breach litigation and claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
In addition to litigation, Robert counsels clients in responding to data privacy and cybersecurity incidents. Robert also advises clients on coverage matters relating to cyber, directors and officers (D&O), professional liability/errors and omissions (E&O), commercial crime, and other lines of insurance.
Robert earned his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he graduated cum laude and served as a member of the Managing Board of the Georgia Law Review. Robert received his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
