Carolyn Alford leads the Financial Services Industry and the Leveraged Finance and Restructuring team. Her practice is focused on leveraged finance, representing financial institutions, funds, sponsors and issuers. Her experience spans syndicated acquisition financings, asset-based lending, private placements and mezzanine/second lien structures. Carolyn has served on our managing Policy Committee.

With specific industry experience in healthcare, pharma, energy, telecom and media, Carolyn represents a wide range of financial services clients. She counsels lenders, investors, borrowers and issuers in leveraged finance, asset-based lending, private placements, unitranche, first lien/second lien and mezzanine financings, and both leveraged and investment-grade lending transactions.

Carolyn is a fellow and past-President of the American College of Investment Counsel, where she served on the Board of Trustees for eight years, and the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers, where she has served on the Nominating Committee. She is also a board member of the Children's Hospital of Atlanta Foundation and the Atlanta Women's Foundation.
