Jonathan Wang is an associate in King & Spalding's Asia CFI (Corporate, Finance & Investments) practice. Jonathan is based in the firm’s Tokyo office and has extensive experience on project development and project financing in the offshore oil & gas, energy and infrastructure markets acting for both sponsors and lenders. His experience in advising on offshore oil & gas asset classes including FPSO, FLNG, LNG carriers and topside equipment span across Europe, Africa, Central and South America, Asia and Oceania.

He regularly advises equity investors, trading houses and oil & gas companies across a broad range of cross border projects including negotiation and due diligence on lease and operate contracts, construction contracts, maintenance and service agreements and issues associated with project structuring generally.

Jonathan also has considerable experience advising banks, ECAs and other financial institutions on the structuring, term sheet negotiation, finance documentation and security packages as well as due diligence for project financings. He is also experienced in asset financing, corporate lending, sale and lease back arrangements and other forms of structured lending and is fluent in Japanese.
