Tim FitzSimons has advised clients on public and private M&A transactions totaling more than US$200 billion. As a member of King & Spalding’s Corporate Practice, he specializes in representing public and private companies on their most important merger and acquisition transactions as well as key corporate governance matters. Tim’s experience includes representing clients on a broad range of transactions, including tender offers, carve-outs, cross-border transactions, stock-for-stock mergers and deSPAC transactions.  Tim also has significant experience representing special committees and independent directors in various conflict of interest transactions, including take privates.  Tim’s corporate governance experience includes representing public companies on proxy contests and shareholder activism matters, working closely with management teams and board of directors.

Tim regularly speaks and writes on M&A and corporate governance topics and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and Crain’s Chicago Business.
