Rafaela is an associate in the Special Matters and Investigations Practice Group in the New York office of King & Spalding. She focuses primarily on white collar criminal litigation, government investigations, corporate compliance, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act matters.

Rafaela earned her law degree (LL.B.) from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in São Paulo and she holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from New York University School of Law. She was awarded a scholarship from Instituto Ling to pursue her LL.M. studies. During her year at NYU, she was the President of the Brazilian Legal Society, an association focused on discussing legal, political, and economic topics related to Brazil and the United States.

Before joining King & Spalding, Rafaela promoted the implementation of an anti-corruption compliance program in a Brazilian corporation. In addition, she worked as an associate in the Antitrust & Competition group of a Brazilian law firm.

Rafaela is admitted to practice in Brazil since 2012.
