Ben Torres is a litigation associate in the firm's Product Liability & Mass Torts practice group. Examples of Ben's clients include a medical device manufacturer involved in a multi-district litigation, an agrochemical company facing mass tort product liability claims, and a gig-economy delivery service involved in claims of negligence and personal injury damages. Ben also represents the commercial radio industry in complex intellectual property and licensing disputes with rights owners. Ben is the current President of the Stonewall Bar Association of Georgia.
In 2022, Ben won the State Bar of Georgia's "One-to-Watch" award for his commitment to diversity, equity, and social justice in the legal profession. Since 2019, Ben has served on the Board of the Stonewall Bar Association of Georgia, which is the state's network of legal professionals dedicated to promoting the interests of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies. At King & Spalding, Ben is a member of the firm's LGBTQ+ Affinity Group and he serves on the leadership team for the firm's Latinx Affinity Group. Ben was selected as a 2023 Pathfinder with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD).
Ben offers a diverse array of legal skills and expertise to his clients, including successful motions practice and brief writing, mass tort organization and individual case work up, taking and defending depositions, legal research, developing settlement strategies, and trial preparation and participation.
