Amanda Hayes-Kibreab specializes in complex business litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution on behalf of providers, with an emphasis on managed care litigation. As a partner in our Healthcare practice, Amanda applies a practical and creative approach to her matters to achieve favorable results for her clients.
As a healthcare litigator, Amanda has extensive experience managing large multi-party, multi-million dollar disputes, litigating business contract and tort disputes, prosecuting and defending actions brought by large healthcare payors against hospital providers, heading up international white collar crime investigations for global healthcare device manufacturers, and providing advice on healthcare law and reform topics. She represents hospitals and hospital systems, provider groups, surgery centers, individual physicians, and other healthcare entities.
Amanda advises clients on the full scope of health care law including the Affordable Care Act, Covered California’s health care exchange, Sequestration, California’s Health and Safety Code, the Knox Keene Act, the False Claims Act, Employment Law, ERISA litigation, RICO actions, HIPAA, Healthcare Reform, and numerous other substantive areas relevant to our clients.
She regularly appears in federal and state trial and appellate courts on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants in various types of commercial litigation actions including contract disputes, commercial torts, unfair business practices, fraud allegations, real estate disputes, intellectual property disputes, and real estate disputes. She has extensive experience successfully defending hospitals from class action lawsuits.
Experienced in white-collar criminal defense, Amanda has conducted numerous internal investigations to analyze potential violations of federal and state laws for corporations under investigation by the government or to evaluate possible voluntary disclosure.
Amanda is a member of the healthcare law section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the California Society of Healthcare Attorneys, and the American Health Lawyers Association. She was named a Southern California Super Lawyer in 2018.
