King & Spalding Ranks in Top 10 of U.S. Bankruptcy Law Firms for Fourth Quarter 2014


NEW YORK, February 4, 2015 — King & Spalding is one of the top 10 bankruptcy law firms in the United States, according to the results of fourth quarter 2014 league tables released yesterday by The Deal. King & Spalding ranked sixth by volume, based on 47 active cases with asset values of $10 million or more, for a total of $914.4 billion in liabilities. In addition, King & Spalding ranked seventeenth among the top 30 law firms, by number of active cases, with 70 cases.

Scott Davidson, a financial restructuring counsel, and partner Arthur Steinberg were ranked respectively as the fourth and seventh most active bankruptcy lawyers, by volume, in the quarter. The Deal credited Davidson with nine active cases of $10 million or more,totaling $862.1 billion in liabilities. Steinberg’s ranking was based on 10 active cases with $794.4 billion in liabilities. Both lawyers are resident in King & Spalding’s New York office.
