ATLANTA, December 11, 2014 — King & Spalding today announced the election of partners Christopher A. Wray (Washington; Atlanta) and Jawad I. Ali (Dubai) to the firm's 10-person policy committee. The appointments are effective as of January 1, 2015.
King & Spalding's policy committee is responsible for firm policies, strategic initiatives and the overall enhancement of the firm. Members are elected by the partnership to a three-year term.
The new members replace partners Andrew T. Bayman (Atlanta) and Garry J. Pegg (London), whose terms expire at the end of the year.
Wray is leader of King & Spalding’s special matters and government investigations practice group and represents companies, audit and special committees, and individuals in a variety of white-collar criminal and regulatory enforcement matters, parallel civil litigation, and internal corporate investigations.
Ali is managing partner of the firm’s offices in the Middle East. He handles a broad range of cross border corporate, finance and investment matters and has pioneered the development and implementation of Shari’ah-compliant financing and investment structures.
