King & Spalding Advises Carmike Cinemas in Refinancing Transactions Worth $280 Million


ATLANTA, June 26, 2015 — King & Spalding advised Carmike Cinemas, Inc., one of the nation's largest motion picture exhibitors, on the issuance of $230 million in aggregate principal amount of 6.00 percent senior secured notes that are due 2023, as well as a $50 million new senior secured revolving credit facility. Both transactions closed June 17.

The King & Spalding corporate, Atlanta-based team on the transactions included partners Alan Prince and Jeff Stein, senior associate Carrie Ratliff, as well as associates Michael Henson and Nicholas Brown. Partner Craig Lee as well as associates Maria Merritt and Lansing Lee assisted on finance and collateral matters.

Charlotte-based counsel Chris McCoy assisted on real estate matters, New York partner John Sweet assisted on tax matters, and paralegal assistance was provided by Atlanta-based John Woodbury and Carol Fraser.
