King & Spalding has represented Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group, a global leader in luxury travel experiences, in connection with a new $500 million financing package underwritten by Citibank. The new financing package allows Abercrombie & Kent to refinance its existing legacy financing arrangements and provides a clear runway for expansion of its global travel business. A cross disciplinary team at King & Spalding advised Abercrombie & Kent on all aspects of the financing package and structuring elements of the transaction. The transatlantic team was led by long-time relationship partner Marisa Sotomayor in New York, with London based partner Amin Doulai advising on the English law elements of the transaction. The team also comprised senior associates David Phillips in London and George Komnenos in New York. London-based partner Daniel Friel and associate Michael Langan provided tax advice.
