backCourtroom View Network (CVN) has recognized the first Florida talc trial as its 3rd Most Impressive Defense Verdict of 2024, in its “CVN’s Top 10 Most Impressive Defense Verdicts of 2024” list.
King & Spalding secured a defense verdict for Johnson & Johnson in Matthey v. Johnson & Johnson et al, the first post-bankruptcy win for Johnson & Johnson in the sprawling talcum powder litigation. In reaching its conclusion, the jury found that talc was safe and did not contain asbestos and does not cause cancer.
