Tim Lee litigates high-stakes business cases with an emphasis on contract disputes, business torts, and class actions.  He has particular expertise in litigating contract termination and force majeure disputes, as well as in defending clients in class actions asserting consumer fraud, RICO, and Medicare Secondary Payer Act claims.  A Senior Associate in the firm's Trial and Global Disputes practice, Tim has experience representing clients through all stages of litigation, including trial and appeal.

Previously, Tim served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Georgia, gaining broad investigatory and trial experience.  While at the U.S. Attorney's Office, he successfully prosecuted criminal cases involving bank fraud, money laundering, identity theft, violent offenses, child exploitation, and other complex criminal matters. 

Following law school, Tim served as a law clerk for the Honorable Lisa Godbey Wood of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia and the Honorable Susan H. Black of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Successfully defended Kan Am (US) at trial in litigation filed by Simon Property Group affiliates in the Chancery Court of Delaware, involving the interpretation of buy/sell provisions in joint venture agreements regarding major retail shopping malls throughout the United States.

Defended a Big 4 accounting firm in a $1.2 billion malpractice suit brought by the Florida Department of Financial Services as receiver of three Florida insurance companies. Following a six-week jury trial, the accounting firm obtained a complete defense verdict.

Drafted merits briefs in Walden v. Fiore before the United States Supreme Court, successfully obtaining reversal of the Ninth Circuit in a case presenting important issues of personal jurisdiction.
