Marie-Sophie Dibling is a leading advisor to clients facing complex trade remedy investigations and critical trade policy and market access issues.

Drawing upon over a decade of international trade experience, she regularly advocates for European industries and associations that face unfair competition from abroad on the EU market or that face trade barriers on export markets. Marie-Sophie is also well-versed in the use of international trade rules in Morocco. Based in Brussels, Marie-Sophie advises clients throughout Europe and Africa.

Marie-Sophie’s practice focuses on international trade, with a particular emphasis on trade remedies actions (anti-dumping, anti-subsidy and safeguard proceedings) and lobbying activities. She represents an array of EU and Moroccan industries including biodiesel, steel, wood panel, refrigerator, paper books, textile and ceramic tile, among many others.

Her Brussels’ practice has involved the defense of EU associations and industries in lodging trade remedies complaints before the EU Commission. She also represents companies targeted by anti-dumping, anti-subsidy or safeguard actions initiated by third countries. Marie-Sophie also represents companies before the European Court of Justice in anti-dumping cases and in WTO disputes. She also advises on export-control issues and potential FTA violations.

In Morocco, Marie-Sophie has represented domestic companies in trade remedies proceedings, advised on the implementation of free trade agreements, prepared merger filings before the Moroccan Competition Council and assisted with customs issues when trading within Africa.

Before joining King & Spalding, Marie-Sophie chaired the International Trade and Lobbying Practice of a major French law firm and led the opening of its Moroccan office. She also served as a trainee lawyer in the World Trade Organization in the Cabinet of the Director-General.

Marie-Sophie is fluent in French and English.
