Jason Myers focuses his practice on economic development, real estate, and finance. His wide-ranging transactional experience and prior leadership roles in business and in-house legal positions enable Jason to team with his clients to offer a thoughtful, multi-perspective, problem-solving approach to meeting their business objectives.

Jason’s client-driven approach stems from having spent a substantial portion of his career as a client. He served as a senior counsel and director at a globally integrated asset manager operating in the private equity space focused on real estate, credit, equity, and other financial assets. He also led the financial services legal team providing coverage for the treasury (credit facilities) and global markets (derivatives transactions and related regulatory matters) internal business groups. Prior to practicing law, Jason served as a vice president of asset management for a real estate developer and independent power producer, with responsibilities including financial modeling, regulatory and covenant compliance, and investor relations.

In addition, Jason’s experience in private practice includes traditional real estate and finance transactions and specialized projects in the energy, public-private partnership, and M&A sectors. Clients often turn to Jason for their most unique transactions requiring high-level legal skills and outside-the-box creativity. Examples include being the primary lease drafter for a professional football stadium; developing, financing, and leasing a shopping center in Sarajevo; handling the origination and material modifications of over $1.5 billion in real estate financing transactions; and leading client outreach and thought leadership related to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) during the coronavirus pandemic.
