Gloria Kim is a partner in King & Spalding's Finance and Restructuring practice group and based in New York. She advises borrowers and lenders on a broad range of complex financing matters. She has significant experience in fund finance transactions, including subscription facilities, NAV financings, GP financings, and other bespoke fund financing arrangements. Her clients include asset managers, investment funds, private equity sponsors, public and private companies, and financial institutions.
Gloria represents clients across the full spectrum of secured and unsecured financing transactions, with a particular focus on fund finance, leveraged finance and distressed finance. Gloria is known for helping clients develop and execute practical, commercial solutions to unique financing needs. She counsels clients on matters ranging from middle-market credit facilities to large-cap syndicated and direct lending transactions, including fund financings, leveraged buyouts, corporate revolving and term loan facilities, asset-based lending, unitranche and second-lien financings, and workouts and restructurings. Gloria regularly advises clients throughout the credit lifecycle, from structuring and execution to amendments, refinancings and distressed situations.
In addition to her transactional practice, Gloria is deeply committed to community service and maintains an active pro bono practice, advising low-income individuals, marginalized groups, small businesses and arts and cultural organizations on a variety of legal matters. She is also engaged in the firm's professional development and innovation initiatives, including efforts focused on the practical application of artificial intelligence in legal practice.
