The American Lawyer Gives King & Spalding Global Finance Deal of the Year Award


HOUSTON, Sept. 29, 2015 — The American Lawyer named King & Spalding among the firms to receive its 2015 Global Finance Deal of the Year award in the Project Finance category.

King & Spalding represented Freeport LNG in the $11 billion, winning deal, which is considered the largest non-recourse project financing in the history of the United States. The King & Spalding team advised Freeport on the drafting and negotiating of the natural gas liquefaction tolling agreements and on the engineering, procurement and construction contract. The team included partners Philip Weems and Scott Greer and associates Monica Hwang and David Strickland.
