Los Angeles Business Journal Names Peter Hsiao, Michael Shortnacy to its Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys List


LOS ANGELES, Jan. 24, 2022 — The Los Angeles Business Journal has named King & Spalding partners Peter Hsiao and Michael Shortnacy to its 2022 Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys list. The list includes influential minority lawyers who have made significant contributions to the Los Angeles business and legal community.

Hsiao, a trial lawyer with 36 years of experience, is head of the West Coast Environmental, Health & Safety practice. Drawing upon his chemical engineering background, he is one of the nation’s leading attorneys in environmental, natural resources, climate change and toxic tort law.

Shortnacy focuses his practice on defense of high stakes consumer class actions and regulatory enforcement actions relating to consumer protection statutes. He litigates before state and federal courts in matters involving claims of unfair competition, false and deceptive advertising and other violations of consumer protection laws.
