King & Spalding Honored by Woodruff Arts Center


ATLANTA, June 22, 2015 — The Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta has honored King & Spalding for its support and fundraising efforts. On June 4, the Center recognized the firm as a “leading corporate supporter” for donating more than $250,000 to the center’s annual corporate campaign. Other major supporters include AT&T, Bank of America, Chick-fil-A, The Coca-Cola Company, The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, Cox, Deloitte, Delta Air Lines, Equifax, EY, Georgia Power Foundation, The Home Depot, Invesco, KPMG, PNC, PwC, SunTrust Bank, Turner Broadcasting System, UPS and Wells Fargo. The Center raised more than $13.4 million in this year’s campaign.

In addition, the firm, as well as partner Jeff Cashdan and Community Affairs Director Linda Parrish, received the Charles R. Yates Award for fundraising achievement. Named for a former Woodruff Arts Center president, the award recognizes business leaders who are dedicated to the Center and have demonstrated excellence in fundraising. Atlanta Office Managing Partner Alan Prince received the Yates Award for his efforts in the Center’s 2013-2014 campaign.
King & Spalding has a long tradition of active participation in the Woodruff Arts Center:

  • Prince serves as a member of its corporate campaign cabinet and co-chaired the Kingpins Committee with Lisa Borders, chair of The Coca-Cola Foundation.
  • Partner Jeff Cashdan is a member of its board of trustees.
  • Partner Jim Boswell is a member of the Center’s governing board and is the immediate past board chair of its Arts for Learning initiative.
  • Partner Meghan Magruder serves on the board of directors of the Center’s Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
  • Partner Jack Capers serves on the board of directors of the Center’s High Museum of Art.
  • Retired partner Joe Bankoff is a past CEO of the Center.
