King & Spalding Associate Ben Torres Named One to Watch as Part of Georgia Bar’s Commitment to Equality Awards

ATLANTA, April 29, 2022 -- King & Spalding associate Benjamin “Ben” Torres has won the State Bar of Georgia’s One to Watch Award for his commitment to diversity, equity and social justice in the legal profession.

New this year, the One to Watch Award recognizes the efforts of young lawyers who have shown, even at the outset of their legal career, a commitment to improving diversity in the legal profession or among those seeking legal services in Georgia. The Commitment to Equality Awards are presented annually and are open to the entire Georgia legal community.

A member of the Trial and Global Disputes practice and based in Atlanta, Torres devotes much of his practice to defending national and international pharmaceutical and agrochemical companies in mass tort litigation involving allegations of products liability. He primarily defends cases bringing claims for design defect, manufacturing defect, strict liability, negligence, punitive damages, and violation of consumer protection statutes.

The Commitment to Equality Awards recognize the efforts of lawyers and legal employers that are and have long been deeply committed to providing opportunities that foster a more diverse legal profession and clientele for members of underrepresented groups in Georgia.
