King & Spalding Advises on M&A Deal of the Year at the Australasian Law Awards


LONDON, May 26, 2022 — King & Spalding advised on an energy industry merger honored as the M&A Deal of the Year at the 2022 Australasian Law Awards.

King & Spalding was recognized for its role in advising on US oil and gas, securities, CFIUS, competition, employment and environmental matters in the merger of Santos and Oil Search. The deal was highlighted by the publication for being a “high value and high profile deal” with “complexity and breadth with the cross-jurisdictional issues in PNG” and “innovation demonstrated through ESG focus.”
