Daniel Hettich Named a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation

WASHINGTON, May 3, 2017 — King & Spalding Healthcare partner Daniel J. Hettich has been named a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, an honorary organization of attorneys, judges, law faculty and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession.

Dan’s practice focuses on advising health care providers on a full range of legal issues surrounding Medicare reimbursement and advocates on their behalf before various administrative and judicial bodies. He has served as a vice chair of the American Health Lawyers Association’s (AHLA) Regulation, Accreditation and Payment (RAP) practice group since 2013. Dan is a sought-after speaker on Healthcare issues, particularly on topics related to Medicare and Medicaid payment. He has also presented at the American Bar Association’s Health Law Summit, and was named an AHLA pro bono champion three years in a row (2010-2012). In both 2015 and 2016, Dan was named to Law360’s Rising Stars list and in 2016, he was also named to Benchmark Litigation’s Under 40 Hot List.

Established in 1955, the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation is an organization whose membership is limited to one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Members are nominated by their peers and elected by the Board of the American Bar Foundation.
