Sarah Tona is an attorney in King & Spalding’s e-discovery practice.  She specializes in providing strategic solutions to legal issues across all stages of the e-discovery process, including document preservation, collection, review, and production.

Sarah leverages her experience with pre-trial discovery in mass tort litigation to develop defensible e-discovery strategies on a wide variety of matters, from advising manufacturers of petrochemical products on best practices for their e-discovery processes to preparing cost-effective discovery budget and staffing plans tailored to the needs of commercial litigation and product liability clients. 

She also provides the Firm’s clients with practical and innovative discovery solutions by developing customized workflows and review protocols, negotiating contracts, and conducting early case assessments.  She works closely with international clients to assess cross-border data privacy issues and provide guidance on compliance with data protection laws and regulations such as the GDPR (EU), CCPA(California), and LGPD (Brazil).

Sarah has extensive knowledge and experience with creating and implementing strategic workflows that utilize machine learning, advanced analytics including technology assisted review (TAR) and continuous active learning (CAL) to streamline legal reviews for large discovery matters involving millions of documents.  She leverages her technological expertise to identify gaps in workflows and empowers her clients to use data to inform their legal strategy.
