Michael is an international energy lawyer specializing in the areas of conventional oil & gas, liquified natural gas (LNG), hydrogen, ammonia, and renewable energy. In connection with such projects, he often focuses on corporate, project financing, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), product offtake, operational, and M&A matters. He has extensive experience working on projects involving the downstream, midstream and upstream sectors of the oil & gas industry, including in relation to the development of offshore natural gas discoveries in Southeast Asia and the financing of offshore crude oil floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) units in South America and West Africa. Michael has also drafted and negotiated numerous sale and purchase agreements for the long-term supply of LNG, hydrogen and ammonia from Australia, India and North America.

Michael is admitted to practice law in the State of Texas (not currently registered as a foreign law attorney in Japan)
