John Roehrick specializes in high-stakes intellectual property litigation involving complex technologies. He has litigated patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes in multiple forums including federal court, the Patent and Trademark Office, and the International Trade Commission. John has experience with a wide range of technologies including computer hardware and software, electronics, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, and medical and mechanical devices.

John is an associate in King & Spalding’s Los Angeles office and a member of the firm’s Trial and Global Disputes practice. John’s litigation experience ranges from patent, copyright, and trade secret matters for software in the automotive industry to false advertisement for dietary supplements. John has also provided intellectual property portfolio advisement and helped inventors obtain patents as a patent attorney.

John graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law with recognition for his pro bono service. During law school, he externed for the Honorable Gregory W. Pollack of the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego. John earned his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Southern California where he was a multi-award-winning member of the school’s aircraft design team.
