Jeremy Bylund is a member of the Appellate, Constitutional, and Administrative Law practice, focusing on appeals, dispositive motions, legal issues, and legal strategy. He has argued in Federal Courts of Appeals across the country.
Jeremy also regularly represents clients in investigations and litigation involving the U.S. Department of Justice, where he previously served as Deputy Associate Attorney General before joining the firm. At DOJ, Jeremy oversaw complex litigation arising out of FDA and environmental disputes.
At the Department of Justice, Jeremy oversaw several litigating divisions, including the Environment & Natural Resources Division and the Civil Division as a member of the executive leadership of the Department. He also worked closely with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, including the Food and Drug Administration, and the Environmental Protection Agency in managing their litigation portfolios.
Prior to serving in leadership, Jeremy served as an appellate attorney in the Department of Justice where he filed briefs in nearly all of the Federal Courts of Appeals. He first-chaired over sixty appellate victories on motions, on the briefs, or after oral argument. He is well-versed in all stages of appellate litigation. Prior to joining DOJ, Jeremy worked in the appellate practice of an international law firm where he co-authored multiple winning Supreme Court merits briefs.
