Amy O’Neill is a senior associate in the firm’s Healthcare practice. Amy’s practice focuses on representing healthcare clients in complex litigation and arbitration, including contracted and non-contracted managed care work. Amy has significant experience preparing and presenting claim denial cases dealing with medical necessity denials, notification and authorization denials, timely filing, and rate calculation disputes. Amy has litigated against all of the big five major payors in the healthcare industry and many smaller payors. Amy also has experience negotiating revisions to contract provisions between providers and plans and working with plans to reach agreement on compliance with contract terms. Amy has the experience and skills necessary to take her clients through the completion of the litigation process, or to act on behalf of her clients in negotiating favorable settlements. 

Prior to joining King & Spalding's healthcare practice, Amy gained litigation experience working on a variety of civil litigation matters including those involving trade secret, antitrust/unfair competition, breach of contract, and real property disputes.

Amy was a full-time judicial extern in the chambers of the Hon. Ronald Robie, of the California Third District Court of Appeal. While in law school, Amy was a comment writer and managing editor for the McGeorge Law Review, a research assistant, and participated in various on campus and off campus organizations. Amy was valedictorian of her class and graduated Order of Coif.
