Dual Summer Associate Positions for Summers 2026 and 2027 

Students in the law school graduating class of 2028 are invited to apply for dual summer associate positions. Qualified candidates will receive offers to spend both their 1L (2026) and 2L (2027) summers with the firm.

1L summer associates will gain broad exposure to the firm’s practice groups based on their interests and office location. Ahead of their 2L summer, 1L summer associates will be asked to narrow their interests to a specific practice area.

Litigation

Litigation summer associates will gain broad exposure to our Business Litigation and Product Liability & Mass Torts practice groups. We welcome applicants who are eager to advance their advocacy skills by working alongside our integrated global team on high-stakes legal challenges. While not required, competitive candidates will have prior litigation experience, including with a judge, law firm, or corporation. In addition to relevant experience and/or demonstrated interest, student applicants must have superior academic credentials and excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.

Transactional summer associates will gain broad exposure to multiple practice areas, such as Corporate, Finance & Restructuring, and Real Estate & Funds. While not required, competitive candidates will hold an MBA (or be enrolled in a JD/MBA program), CPA, or relevant master’s degree, and have prior experience in banking, finance, accounting, or asset management. In addition to relevant experience and/or demonstrated interest, student applicants must have superior academic credentials and excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.

Construction Transactions summer associates will have the opportunity to assist our attorneys with drafting and negotiating construction-related contracts for large-scale energy, mining, and infrastructure projects located around the world, on behalf of owners, developers, and/or lenders. Candidates with prior engineering or construction related experience are preferred. Summer associates working with our Intellectual Property team will have the opportunity to assist attorneys in defending clients’ IP interests and handling complex litigation matters across a wide range of industry sectors. Ideally, candidates will have an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science, but students with degrees in other STEM field(s) are encouraged to apply. Summer associates in the International Disputes practice group will have the opportunity to assist our attorneys as they represent clients in commercial and investment arbitration, as well as in global courts around the world in international litigation, such as motions to compel arbitration, anti-suit injunctions, and enforcement actions. Written and oral fluency in Arabic, French, German, Portuguese, and/or Spanish is preferred.
