Construction & Procurement summer associates will have the opportunity to assist our attorneys with drafting and negotiating construction-related contracts for large-scale energy, mining, and infrastructure projects located around the world, on behalf of owners, developers, and/or lenders. Candidates with prior engineering or construction related experience are preferred.
Disputes summer associates will gain broad exposure to our Commercial Litigation and Product Liability practice groups. We welcome applicants who are eager to advance their advocacy skills by working alongside our integrated global team on high-stakes legal challenges.
Healthcare focused summer associates will have the opportunity to assist our attorneys in helping clients develop and execute complex transactions, litigation strategies, government reimbursement solutions, regulatory compliance initiatives, managed care contracting strategies, and efficiency/cost reduction measures. Candidates who do not have direct healthcare industry experience should be interested in developing knowledge of the industry and how it is regulated.
Summer associates working with our Intellectual Property team will have the opportunity to assist attorneys in defending clients’ IP interests and handling complex litigation matters across a wide range of industry sectors. Ideally, candidates will have an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science, but students with experience or degrees in other STEM field(s) are encouraged to apply. In addition to relevant experience and/or demonstrated interest, student applicants must have superior academic credentials and excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.
Summer associates in the International Arbitration & Litigation practice group will have the opportunity to assist our attorneys as they represent clients in commercial and investment arbitration, as well as in global courts around the world in international litigation, such as motions to compel arbitration, anti-suit injunctions, and enforcement actions. Written and oral fluency in Arabic, French, German, Portuguese, and/or Spanish is preferred. In addition to relevant experience and/or demonstrated interest, student applicants must have superior academic credentials and excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.
International Trade summer associates will have the opportunity to assist our attorneys to help clients navigate the complex world of international trade through a range of regulatory, dispute settlement, litigation, policy and enforcement mechanisms. Ideally, candidates will have international trade experience and/or an undergraduate technical degree.
Project Finance summer associates will have the opportunity to work with attorneys in our Project Finance group, with a focus on complex private equity transactions in the energy, power, and infrastructure sectors. Competitive candidates will hold qualifications such as an MBA (or are currently pursuing a JD/MBA degree) or other relevant master's degree, and bring hands-on experience from roles in banking, finance, accounting, or related industries. We welcome applicants who demonstrate analytical rigor, commercial insight, and genuine interest in transactional work.
Special Matters summer associates will have the opportunity to assist our attorneys with protecting and advancing clients’ interests by conducting thorough and reliable internal investigations, using the investigative record to persuade the government to appropriately decline prosecution or enforcement action where possible, and discreetly resolving government investigations on favorable terms. Written and oral fluency in languages other than English are not required but will be viewed favorably.
Transactional summer associates will gain broad exposure to multiple practice areas, including Capital Markets, Finance, Fund Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Real Estate. While not required, competitive candidates will hold an MBA (or be enrolled in a JD/MBA program), CPA, or relevant master’s degree, and have prior experience in banking, finance, accounting, or asset management.
