Type of Experience: King & Spalding seeks an associate (4th- to 5th-year level) to support its growing commercial litigation practice in Austin, with an emphasis on large-scale, global construction and energy disputes. The firm’s Construction practice has been consistently recognized as among the best in the nation, working with owners, developers, contractors, consultants and financiers on major projects and high-profile suits and arbitrations across the globe.
Associates are integral members of the team, which focuses on providing exceptional client service and opportunities for associate development. Qualified candidates will have complex litigation experience at a large law firm or civil litigation boutique and an interest in construction and energy disputes. Strong academic credentials, excellent written and oral advocacy skills, and Texas bar admission (or eligibility for the next exam) are also required. A background in construction, engineering, or architectural projects is a plus, though a willingness to learn about these areas is sufficient.

Qualified candidates will have outstanding academic credentials, strong written and oral advocacy skills, experience handling discovery and other trial preparation at a large law firm or civil litigation boutique, and an entrepreneurial mindset. California bar admission also required.
Associates are integral members of the Trial & Global Disputes practice group, which handles a wide range of high-stakes litigation matters for corporate clients. We operate as a collaborative team focused on exceptional client service and associate development.
