Project Finance
Number of Positions – 1 | Years of Experience – 3-4
Location: New York or Denver

The Corporate practice group of King & Spalding is seeking highly qualified junior to mid-level (3-4 years) project finance attorneys to sit in the sponsor-side project finance group in our New York or Denver offices. Candidates should have familiarity with project finance (or a blend of project and acquisition finance) at a top-tier national or international law firm.  Experience with credit, cash waterfall and security documentation is necessary, and expertise with diligence of large renewable and conventional power, infrastructure and energy projects will be a core competence.  Strong applicants will have substantial experience running closings for project finance and acquisition (leveraged) finance transactions in power, infrastructure and energy, as well as related bid and commitment papers.  A blend of lender and sponsor side experience is a benefit, including experience with tax equity financings and other financings for renewables, transportation infrastructure and conventional power generation.  Experience with ISDA, EEI and other similar enabling documentation will be favorably considered.  This is an excellent opportunity for ambitious associates to join a growing project finance team with significant opportunity for advancement, expansion and leadership.

Type of Experience: King & Spalding seeks a highly qualified mid-level associate for its growing Tax practice in Atlanta, New York and Washington D.C. Consideration will also be given to exceptional candidates based in our other U.S. offices. A qualified candidate will be a self-starter with great client management skills, superior academic credentials and previous large law firm or accounting firm experience. Candidates will also have 3-6 years of transactional tax experience, including funds/JVs, Private Equity and Strategic M&A, finance and restructuring work. Fund formation and partnership tax experience, structuring of inbound foreign investment, and REIT and real estate finance experience would be ideal.

Type of Experience: King & Spalding seeks an associate with 3-6 years of experience for its Environmental Health & Safety practice in one of the firm’s U.S. offices, including Atlanta or Washington, D.C. Qualified candidates should have experience with or interest in a broad range of environmental issues, including environmental enforcement and compliance matters, environmental litigation, and due diligence. Type of Experience: King & Spalding seeks a highly qualified staff attorney with 4+ years of experience to support its Medicare reimbursement appeals practice in the Washington, D.C. office. Ideally, candidates will have a background in litigation support and experience managing a complex docket as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.  Prior experience with Medicare reimbursement appeals before the Provider Reimbursement Review Board would be a significant plus.  Qualified candidates will have strong academic credentials, a proven work ethic, careful attention to detail, and flexibility to work after normal business hours as required by filing deadlines.

Qualified candidates will have 2-4 years of experience practicing at an elite level in international trade and compliance, with a particular emphasis on export controls and economic sanctions, and CFIUS foreign investment reviews.  Experience in customs, international trade policy, and trade remedy litigation is a plus. Government experience will be viewed favorably, but is not required. Applicants should have excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.”
