The Escalation of Federal Enforcement – Scrutiny on Clinical Studies and Scientific Exchange

Program Speaker

Bev Lorell, Michael Petty, and Wick Sollers

Description

Join us for a discussion on federal enforcement trends regarding scrutiny on clinical research and uses of the data. We will examine the expanding and increasingly sophisticated "clinical research tool box" used by the DOJ in False Claims Act investigations. Learn how federal enforcement is using analyses of: (1) clinical study design and conduct; (2) uses and misuses of clinical data by companies and investigators – including peer reviewed publications; and (3) disclosures about ongoing clinical trials. Consider how upcoming Sunshine Act "big data" may impact this scrutiny. We also discuss practical tactics to identify and mitigate potential risks.
