Project Finance International Names King & Spalding Project Its Americas Deal of the Year


HOUSTON, Jan. 28, 2016 — Project Finance International has named Cheniere Energy’s Corpus Christi Liquefaction Project in Corpus Christi, Texas—for which King & Spalding attorneys negotiated engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts—as its 2015 Americas Deal of the Year.

The Corpus Christ Liquefaction Project is a proposed five-train liquefied natural gas (LNG) export terminal that is being developed along the Gulf Coast, with the first two trains currently under construction. The King & Spalding team on this project was led by Houston-based partner Scott A. Greer with the assistance of Washington, D.C.-based partner Cynthia Stroman and Houston associate David Strickland.

Project Finance International also named a project financing for Arabian Company for Water and Power Development (ACWA) Holdings—for which King & Spalding served as counsel—as its Middle East and Africa Industrial Deal of the Year.
