Program Speakers

Allison Altersohn and Natasha Moffitt

Description

A record number of high-profile patent cases were decided in 2014 that touched upon a wide range of issues, including subject matter patent eligibility, indefiniteness, and attorneys’ fee awards.  This program will provide an overview of these important U.S. Supreme Court and Federal Circuit decisions and take a closer look at how lower courts are starting to apply them in current cases.  The program also will discuss recent trends in inter partes and post-grant review proceedings before the U.S. Patent Office, and best practices for these types of procedures. Finally, the program will explore how these recent developments are impacting the industry at large, as well as highlight upcoming patent cases to watch in 2015.
