National Law Journal Names Jim Griffin an M&A and Antitrust Trailblazer

WASHINGTON, D.C., Sept. 30, 2015 — The National Law Journal has selected King & Spalding Antitrust partner Jim Griffin for its 2015 list of M&A and Antitrust Trailblazers. The publication’s annual ranking, published Sept. 28, recognizes attorneys “who have moved the needle in mergers & acquisitions and antitrust law” and who are “innovative thinkers and leading practitioners.”

The NLJ in particular noted Griffin’s expertise gleaned from nearly three decades in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, noting that he was one of the primary drafters of the Antitrust Division’s Leniency Program. The program is considered the most significant investigatory tool that antitrust enforcers have, and the model for enforcement agencies worldwide.

Griffin’s practice focuses on criminal antitrust investigations, with special emphasis on international matters subject to investigation by multiple enforcement authorities. He also focuses on internal corporate investigations and provides counseling to clients on antitrust issues. He is ranked in Band 1 by Chambers, nationwide, for his expertise on cartel law.
