Jeff Telep Elected Vice President of International Trade Commission Trial Lawyers Association


WASHINGTON, Dec. 1, 2016 — King & Spalding partner Jeff Telep was elected vice president of the International Trade Commission Trial Lawyers Association (“ITCTLA”) at the organization’s annual meeting on November 15.

Telep is a partner with King & Spalding’s International Trade Group in the firm’s Washington, DC, office. His practice focuses on Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission.  He has represented clients in multiple industries, including semiconductors, telecommunications equipment, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, automotive, and other consumer and industrial goods.  He also handles international trade remedy litigation and compliance, regularly representing U.S. companies in antidumping and countervailing duty cases before the U.S. Department of Commerce, the International Trade Commission, the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Prior to joining King & Spalding, Telep spent six years as a trial attorney with the Civil Division of the United States Department of Justice, where he practiced before the United States Court of International Trade and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Founded in 1984,  the ITCTLA is dedicated to improving the administration of Section 337 and informing attorneys, international trade officials, and legislators about practice before the ITC. The organization’s members confer regularly to review developments affecting Section 337 practice, and annually elect officers to leadership positions. The Association maintains active standing committees, reflecting the diverse professional interests of its members. The Association continues to be active in administrative and legislative efforts to improve the administration of Section 337 and to ensure it serves as an effective remedy to prevent the importation of infringing goods at the border.
