Paris International Arbitration partner James Castello has been appointed to Deputy Chair of the London Court of International Arbitration’s (LCIA’s) Board of Directors as of Jan. 17. One of the world’s leading arbitral institutions, the LCIA recently celebrated its 100th anniversary and typically receives between 300 and 400 new disputes submitted for arbitration under its Rules each year. James was first appointed as a member of the LCIA Court in 2007, after which he served as President of the LCIA’s European Users Council, before becoming a Board member in 2015.
