Internal Investigative and Remediation Strategies – 60-Day Rule and Beyond

Webinar Only

Over the past year, the enforcement landscape for healthcare providers has evolved significantly. Enforcement agencies have announced several new enforcement initiatives and, in February 2016, CMS released its long-awaited final rule for Medicare Parts A and B overpayments. On April 27, 2016, King & Spalding will host a webinar to explore these industry developments and provider strategies for enhancing policies and processes. Specifically, our discussion will include the following:

  • Explore significant enforcement initiatives, including:
    • OIG’s heightened compliance expectations regarding board oversight, risk mitigation and individual accountability;
    • DOJ’s engagement of special compliance counsel;
    • DOJ (Yates) Memo directing investigations to focus on individual culpability; and
    • Unrelenting relator strategies.
  • Analyze significant provisions of the Medicare Parts A and B final overpayment rulemaking.
  • Discuss strategies for addressing these fundamental changes, including:
    • Investigation changes;
    • Governance considerations; and
    • Internal controls.

You do not have to be a client to attend, and there is no charge.
