Energy Forum: Trends in Midstream and Infrastructure Projects in U.S. Oil and Gas Development

The U.S. oil and gas industry has come roaring back during recent years since the price downturn of 2014-5, and with this return to activity, the industry has experienced shortages in infrastructure and midstream capacity that is reminiscent of the early years of the shale boom.  Issues that companies face in the busiest shale plays and conventional basins include takeaway capacity, access to water, sufficient labor, adequate roads, and obtaining financing for new midstream and infrastructure projects. As is to be expected in the oil and gas industry, new and legacy participants have responded with innovative solutions. Please join King & Spalding and industry experts as we discuss some of the major challenges and opportunities pertinent today to midstream projects and infrastructure needs in the most active U.S. plays.
