Salomé Cisnal de Ugarte and Olivier Antoine are both featured speakers at GCR’ Law Leaders Global Conference on January 30th in Miami, Florida. Reflecting on interesting times and challenges facing antitrust practitioners today, the conference will host a stellar speaker line-up, featuring enforcers, in-house counsel, private practitioners, academics, and economists.
Salomé is a featured speaker on the conference’s “Antitrust: Exchange of competitively sensitive information: how much should we care about sharing?” panel. This will explore the limits and framework of cooperation between competitors in light of the European Commission and the CMA’s new guidance, as well as the withdrawal by the US DOJ of its information sharing guidance.
Olivier is a featured speaker on the conference’s “Mergers: Bridging the ‘gaps’ – or a bridge too far? Merger control’s broader net and stricter application” panel. This will explore the expanding list of transactions being subject to review – including the acquisition of minority stakes, partnership arrangements and below threshold mergers – and whether there is a greater risk today of adverse outcomes following reviews of both traditional and non-traditional transactions.
