backLOS ANGELES, Sept. 6, 2023 — The Daily Journal has named King & Spalding Special Matters and Government Investigations partner David Willingham to its 2023 Top 100 Lawyers in California list. The list "celebrates attorneys doing cutting-edge legal work," according to the publication. Willingham was first selected to the list in 2016.
Willingham, who is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office, has represented numerous individuals and entities facing governmental investigations and other complex litigation issues in both state and federal courts around the country. The Daily Journal highlighted his successful representation for RD Legal Funding against the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the New York Attorney General in a six-year litigation matter. The publication also noted Willingham’s role as lead-counsel in a class action suit defending Delta Airlines.
