American Jewish Committee of San Francisco Honors Quyen Ta with Judge Learned Hand Award

SAN FRANCISCO, June 29, 2023 — The American Jewish Committee (AJC) of San Francisco has honored King & Spalding litigation partner Quyen Ta with its 2023 Judge Learned Hand award. The award recognizes Bay Area distinguished individuals in the legal profession who “embody the principles of justice, freedom and fairness,” according to the organization.

Ta is a sought-after trial lawyer and lead counsel who focuses on consumer class action defense, intellectual property, international arbitrations, trade secrets misappropriation, and other high-stakes, complex civil litigation. She has represented victims of hate crimes in the Bay Area and has devoted significant time and effort to the advancement of people of color and women in the legal profession.

The AJC is a global advocacy organization that works to advance democratic values around the world by promoting pluralism, tolerance and civil rights. The AJC established the Judge Learned Hand Award in memory of the legendary Judge Billings Learned Hand, a judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit from 1924 to 1951, and then Senior judge from 1951-1961.
