SEC Announces New Regional Director of the Boston Office

On January 25, 2023, the SEC announced that Silvestre A. Fontes has been named Regional Director of the Boston Office. Most recently, he served as Chief Compliance Officer of Bracebridge Capital LLC and, before that, he worked in the SEC Boston Regional Office’s enforcement program for 13 years, ascending to the role of Assistant Regional Director before leaving the agency in 2011. John Dugan and Kevin Kelcourse, who have served as Acting Co-Regional Directors, will remain as Associate Regional Directors of the office’s Enforcement and Examinations programs, respectively.
