backOn April 7, 2026, the SEC announced enforcement results for the fiscal year-ended September 30, 2025. The announcement highlighted an unprecedented rush to advance a significant number of cases involving novel legal theories in fiscal year 2025, in advance of the presidential inauguration, and reiterated that future enforcement priorities will focus on matters involving fraud.
According to an addendum included with the announcement, Issuer Reporting/Audit & Accounting actions comprised 10% of all actions in fiscal year 2025.
