PCAOB Board-Member Hosts Forum in Irving, Texas for Auditors of Small Businesses and Auditors of Broker-Dealers

On August 14, 2025, the PCAOB announced that PCAOB Board Member Anthony C. Thompson will host an in-person forum in Irving, Texas on September 16, 2025.

The event will be dedicated to firms auditing smaller public companies or broker-dealers. The agenda includes presentations and discussions around (i) resources recently released by the PCAOB to support implementation of QC 1000 and other auditing standards, and (ii) audit risks associated with revenue, cash flow projections, related party transactions, and review of exemption reports.

Attendance is free, but advance registration is required. Attendees can earn continuing professional education credits. The forum will also be livestreamed, and recordings will be available on the PCAOB’s website.
