George Botic to Serve as Acting Chair of the PCAOB Starting July 23, 2025

On July 21, 2025, the SEC announced that George R. Botic will serve as acting Chair of the PCAOB starting July 23, 2025. He succeeds Erica Y. Williams, who resigned from the Board effective July 22, 2025.

Mr. Botic has been a member of the Board since October 2023. Prior to joining the Board, he served in other roles at the PCAOB, including Director of the Division of Registration and Inspections, Director of the Office of International Affairs, and Special Advisor to former Chairperson James R. Doty.
