Our team has been advising clients on PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) regulatory and legal issues since the early 1990s when scientists first discovered that the compounds were widely present in the environment and people. As scrutiny has expanded beyond PFAS manufacturers to distributors, retailers, and consumer products, and regulatory action has reached industries ranging from fast food to cosmetics, we have continued to counsel a broad range of clients on managing risk and adapting to new developments. We help them anticipate and respond to evolving PFAS laws and enforcement at the federal and state levels and defend against claims asserted under expanding and novel legal theories.

Our team includes a cross-section of lawyers with decades of PFAS experience and in other significant environmental, emerging contaminant, and mass tort litigation. The team includes lawyers with regulatory and scientific backgrounds; trial-tested attorneys who understand that preparing for trial starts when the complaint is filed; and coordinating counsel who take a cross-functional, collaborative approach forged by our firm culture, and who honed their skills in some of the largest mass torts in recent history.
