Antidumping & Other Trade Remedies

We are a global leader in protecting and enhancing U.S., European, and other global manufacturing powerhouses’ market share and financial position while mitigating risk exposure to increasingly competitive and volatile global supply chains. We represent producers, importers, industry and trade associations, and governments in antidumping (AD), countervailing duty/antisubsidy (CVD), and safeguard proceedings. We have deep experience representing clients against unfair trade in hundreds of procedures across the full lifecycle: from feasibility study to enforcement and litigation at the highest courts.

Our team is one of the most successful in securing affirmative determinations before the ITC and Commerce for our manufacturing and private equity clients. We have in-depth experience across the most sophisticated matters for the largest users of trade remedy laws, including for leading U.S., European, and global companies and industry associations in the aerospace, automobile, cement, chemical, medical device, paper, pharmaceutical, private equity, semiconductor, shipbuilding, steel, and technology sectors.

We have significant experience with both petitioners and respondents in navigating trade remedy cases, trade policy matters, and engagement with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce), the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), the European Commission (EU Commission), the UK Trade Remedies Authority (UK TRA), the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Saudi Arabia General Authority for Foreign Trade (GAFT), the Brazil Chamber of Foreign Trade (CAMEX), and the trade remedy and negotiating authorities of other countries in Latin America and Asia.

We use our global footprint and diverse substantive and geographic experience to develop and execute integrated and innovative global trade-related strategies to optimize complex supply chains. We also advise clients in other trade-related investigations, including U.S. Section 301, Section 232, and Section 337 proceedings and in matters under the EU’s current and emerging trade tools.

Our representations include advising on some of the most novel and the largest AD/CVD cases to come before the U.S. government in recent years; the first trade remedy case affecting more than US$1.5 billion of annual imports from China; the first countervailing duty petitions to be successfully filed in the United States against subsidized imports from China and Vietnam; the first “critical circumstances” retroactive application of duties in 20 years; and successful appeals in federal courts.
