Matthew T. Smith

Matthew T. Smith represents key stakeholders in all aspects of financial restructuring matters, including chapter 11 bankruptcies and out-of-court workouts.

Prior to joining the firm, Matt clerked for the Honorable John P. Mastando III, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of New York, and the Honorable Henry W. Van Eck, Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Matt earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Indiana University and his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he was also an Articles Editor for the University of Illinois Law Review.
