Bio

Mandi Jacobson is a highly regarded commercial litigator, defending clients in complex regulatory investigations, in civil penalty proceedings initiated by commonwealth and state regulators, in coronial inquests, and in product liability cases across the life sciences and consumer goods industries.  

Additionally, Mandi provides regulatory and compliance advice to medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medicinal cannabis companies as well as companies who manufacture, supply and distribute a wide range of other consumer goods. 

Mandi has been recognised by Chambers Asia-Pacific for Life Science since 2018. 

Mandi provides regulatory and compliance advice to local and international life sciences companies. This extends to Mandi advising on, and assisting clients with internal reviews and appeals (section 60 reviews) against proposed suspension and cancellation notices issued by the Therapeutic Goods Administration, as well as seeking redress against decisions made by commonwealth and state regulators in relation to pricing and reimbursement matters. Mandi also advises international companies in relation to importing and supplying medicines and medical devices in Australia, and will assist clients with any contentious matters regarding the same initiated by regulators, including the Department of Defence and the Australian Border Force. 

Mandi regularly assists with recalls and withdrawals, including in relation to recalls of medicines, medicinal devices, and a broad range of consumer goods, foods and beverages. Mandi assists clients in answering notices received from a broad range of regulators, including the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (the ACCC) and the Therapeutic Goods Administration. 

Prior to joining King & Spalding, Mandi was a partner at another global law firm specialising in contentious regulatory work.
