A Ph.D. computer scientist and experienced appellate advocate, Jonathan helps clients win high-stakes technology disputes. He has particularly deep experience in computer-related patent and trade secret litigation, at both the trial and appellate level.
Jonathan’s practice spans diverse technical fields, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, high-performance computing, computer networking, and many other areas of computer technology. He has litigated cases involving patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, copyright infringement, and computer fraud in courts nationwide. Jonathan has also handled dozens of patent appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
In addition to his technical docket, Jonathan has successfully litigated cases involving constitutional law, product liability, trademark, class actions, bankruptcy, tort liability, international trade, and other areas.
Jonathan earned his J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as president of the Intellectual Property Law Association. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in computer science from the University of California, San Diego, where his research focused on large-scale and distributed computing. He graduated summa cum laude from Colby College with a B.A. in computer science, earning Phi Beta Kappa honors and departmental distinction.
