• ProFrac Services LLC, et. al. v. Liberty Energy Services LLC (S.D. Tex. / E.D. Tex.) Obtained a favorable outcome as counsel for ProFrac in three patent litigation suits between the hydraulic fracturing competitors concerning e-frac and split stream technology. Tyler was the team technical lead.
• Halliburton v. U.S. Well Services (W.D. Tex.) As trial counsel, prevailed for U.S. Well Services against competitor Halliburton, which claimed USWS infringed certain hydraulic fracturing patents—a win that Am Law recognized with a “Litigator of the Week” first-runner-up nod.
• Confidential AAA Arbitration in Houston. Second chair trial counsel for claimant in a breach of contract case worth over $1MM. After a multiday evidentiary hearing where Tyler directed and cross-examined key witnesses, Tyler and the team achieved an award of all damages sought plus attorneys' fees.
• Hardin et al. v. Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (E.D. Tex.) Trial counsel for Ryan Hardin and Andrew Hill, inventors in a patent suit brought against Samsung relating to geofencing technology. After prevailing on key claim construction, MSJ, and Daubert issues, the case settled days before trial.

Tyler focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, patent litigation, and IP advising. Although he represents both patent owners and accused infringers in patent disputes covering a wide array of technologies, he often represents companies in the energy, oil & gas, and biomedical industries, leveraging his background in chemical engineering to deeply understand his clients’ technologies and operations to effectively advise them. Likewise, Tyler represents clients in commercial litigation and arbitration in the energy, petrochemical, and industrial construction industries.
